Plate is now an official ChatGPT app. Add it once and manage your projects and tasks right inside ChatGPT — just by chatting.
Open Plate in ChatGPT
Open the Plate app in ChatGPT, or search for Plate under Apps in ChatGPT.
Click Connect. An authorization window opens — sign in to your Plate account and choose a scope:
Click Authorize. Plate is now connected and ready to use in any chat.
Token duration depends on your plan and configuration. You may occasionally be prompted to re-authorize after a session expires.
After connecting, ask ChatGPT in plain language:
ChatGPT uses the Plate MCP tools under the hood. For write operations, ChatGPT may ask for your confirmation before making changes.
You don't need this if you added the app above. But if you'd rather connect Plate as a custom MCP app — for example, on a workspace where the app directory isn't available — you can do it with Developer Mode.
https://plate.to/mcp
Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings in ChatGPT and enable Developer Mode.
Go to Workspace settings → Apps, and click New App.
Enter a name — for example, Plate.
Under Connection, select Server URL and paste:
https://plate.to/mcpUnder Authentication, select OAuth. Click Advanced OAuth settings — ChatGPT will auto-discover Plate's OAuth configuration from the server URL.
Check "I understand and want to continue" and click Create, then Authorize to sign in and choose a scope.
To disconnect Plate from ChatGPT, go to Workspace Settings → Apps in Plate and revoke the token. You can also remove the app from Workspace settings → Apps in ChatGPT.
